City of Charleston Spring Clean-Up

The City of Charleston Spring Clean-Up will begin on Saturday, March 15th and go through Sunday, March 23rd. This is only for residents who live inside the city limits of Charleston who pay for trash pickup on their water bills.

ALL ITEMS MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE DUMPSTERS BEHIND CITY HALL. THERE WILL BE NO CURBSIDE PICK UP.

All residents will have nine (9) days to dispose of unwanted items.

The City of Charleston and Republic Services will not be responsible for, or replace any items placed in the dumpsters.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS INCLUDE: Furniture, mattresses, books, magazines, toys, clothing, fabric, bedding, rugs and other miscellaneous items without motors.

ITEMS THAT ARE BANNED: Items with motors. This includes refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, trash compactors, water heaters, etc. However, microwaves and televisions ARE accepted.

No yard waste of any kind will be accepted. This includes limbs, leaves, shrub trimmings, grass, and garden debris.

Republic Services will NOT pick up any paint, chemicals, computer monitors, vehicle parts, tires, or lead acid batteries as they have been banned from the landfills in the State of Missouri.
